Lunch time talks.
Sometimes the small things stick to your mind. We were happy to listen to our Japanese friend who shared with us her memories about cleaning during her school time.
"Everyone had their own Zoukin", a self-made white dust cloth which is folded and stitched like the dotted lines on her drawing. "A fun way to clean the floor was zoukin-gake."
We were unable to observe it during our visit of a school during their cleaning time, but you find various videos on the internet on how zoukin-gake is done.
It looks moderately efficient to me and very uncomfortable - but I can see how it might turn cleaning into more fun for a child.
